Recently, the number of children suffering from food allergies is growing steadily. And this fact, of course, cannot but worry both parents and pediatricians. As a rule, children of allergic parents and babies suffering from dysbiosis are more at risk. Typically, the first manifestations of food allergies are manifested in infants at the age of six months, when complementary foods appear in their diet -milk, eggs, and fish can become allergens. The kids who are a year old have food allergies, as a rule, cause fruit. It is difficult not to notice the manifestations of food allergies in children – this disease is characterized by the appearance of allergic rashes on the skin of the baby and impaired gastrointestinal tract activities.
How to control the frequency of exacerbations of food allergies in the baby?
Of course, much depends on proper nutrition – a child with food allergies must be fed so that the allergen food was not present on his table. Let’s figure out what are the basic rules for feeding a child with food allergies.
First of all, it is necessary to find out which product causes an exacerbation of the disease in the child. This is done using blood tests and skin samples. In addition, the mother of such a baby must keep a child’s food diary in which she should enter all new products introduced into the child’s diet and his reaction to them. If any of the products provoked allergies, then it must be removed from the baby menu for at least 1-3 months. Further, in agreement with the doctor, this product can again be added to the children’s menu, but this should be done gradually, starting with small doses and, of course, observing the health of the child.
For kids with food allergies, it is advisable to cook food for steam, simmer or bake. But it is better to refuse fried dishes in this disease.
As the first dishes, an allergic child can be offered vegetarian soups. If the baby has not yet reached the age of 2-3 years, then the first dishes prepared on meat broth should not be given. You can offer older children with food allergies on meat broth, but when cooking meat, doctors recommend draining the first broth and cook the meat on the second.
For the second children, patients with allergies, it is advisable to cook stew or boiled meat, steam meatballs or cutlets. As a side dish, you can offer a child boiled rice, barley, buckwheat or boiled vegetables.
It is advisable to add ghee or vegetable oil to the food of such a baby – if the child has an allergy to milk, then butter can be an allergen.
From the diet of a baby allergic, it is necessary to exclude sweets, sharp, pickled and salty dishes.
Of course, all these requirements are easy to observe when a child is at home and a loving mother or grandmother is preparing food for him. If a child with food allergies must be sent to kindergarten, then parents need to choose such a children’s institution very carefully.
In large cities you can find kindergartens for children with this disease. An individual diet is being developed for each baby, and mother can be firmly sure that a child-allergen product will not fall into the child’s food.
If you do not live in a large city, then you will have to send a child to a regular kindergarten. But you, together with the doctor, must make a list of products that are dangerous for your crumbs, and transfer it to the medical worker of the kindergarten you have chosen.
Another option is a private kindergarten. Perhaps this option is not suitable for all parents, but, nevertheless, there, as a rule, when compiling a menu for a baby allergic, the doctor’s recommendations and parents’ requirements are always taken into account.
