Irga is a rather unpretentious plant and it is easy to grow it. But the berries are very fond of birds and therefore, having grown the Irgian bush, you should take care of maintaining the crop to the maturation stage and collecting it.
Growing Irga
Irga loves light, so you need to choose a suitable landing place for her. Then the crop of the berries will be abundant, and the berries will be sweet.
Pavda should stipulate the moment that if you are going to plant many plants of this culture for a hedge, then the Irga will play a different role and you do not have to choose a place of landing. Then the fruits will be in the background.
Although Irga can grow well on, practically any areas of the earth, but the best for her are light sandy soils. It will be very good if the soil is loose and fertile.
The plant is not afraid of frosts, with the exception of spring frosts that can beat the color. Therefore, you can plant in the northern and windy places of your site.
Before planting, prepare the ground, dig the soil, make fertilizers: manure-up to 10 kilograms, superphosphate-30-40 grams, potassium sulfate-20 grams (based on 1 square meter).
If the soil is light, then it is necessary to dig pits for planting 60 by 60 centimeters, season them with humus (10-15 kilograms) mixed with a fertile layer of earth, add superphosphate (300 grams) and potassium sulfate (100 grams).
During planting, you should burp the root neck of the Irgi by 5 centimeters, and then cut the plant by 1/3 of its height. If you plant many plants, then the distance between them should be 2.5-3 meters.
Since Irga gives a lot of basal processes, it can be successfully used to reproduce. Young plants are planted both in spring and autumn. It must be borne in mind that a sample pit should be digged at once and also season with fertilizers (as described above). It will also be useful to add wood ash.
Irga care
Irga is a very unpretentious plant and almost no care. The plant is able to take care of itself.
But during the maturation of the berries, Irga needs a large amount of moisture. Therefore, if the summer is hot and dry, then it is necessary to regularly water the plants abundantly. This will make it possible to get a larger harvest of berries.
Due to the fact that the berries do not ripen at the same time, it is recommended to collect them in several techniques.
The sole survivability of Irgi is explained by the fact that its roots go to a two -meter depth in a radius of up to 2.5 meters around the plant. Irga calmly and easily capable of carrying shading and gastion, steadfastly to diseases and pests, develops rapidly and does not suffer from a haircut.
So that a huge bush resembled a real tree, the height of which can reach 8 meters, does not grow, the IrGU should be cut, removing the old branches of the plant bush. This, moreover, will contribute to rejuvenation, and as a result, an increase in the crop. Since, the most abundant crop gives last year’s shoots.
Due to annual fruiting, the plant quickly draws nutrients from the soil. Therefore, it is necessary to add humus to the basic zone of the plant. This procedure should be done in the summer when the berries are already collected. As top dressing, it is recommended to use solutions of mullein or litter of poultry. If this is not, then the use of mineral fertilizers as topics is allowed.
In order to protect the berries of the Irgi from poultry, they must be covered with gauze, a small nylon mesh from birds, or covering material.
Gauze (grid) must be thrown on top of the bush, embedded around the bush, so that the whole plant is covered. At the bottom of the bush you need to choose all the gauze (grid) and tied with wire or durable cord.
