It is no secret that the parquet floor has always been the most popular, regardless of the widespread introduction of new technologies for flooring in the premises. Reliability, durability, external attractiveness – this is all about the parquet.
However, like everything else, parquet needs regular care and periodic update. Update, or, differently, grinding parquet-a multi-stage procedure and requiring special skills and equipment. Therefore, the best advice will be to turn on this issue to professionals from a profile company.
The need for grinding is due to the fact that in the process of everyday use, the parquet is subjected to all kinds of influences – the movement of furniture, friction of the brushes of a vacuum cleaner or broom, and a simple shuffling of shoes is already capable of overdoing the appearance of the parquet so over time that it is necessary to invite the master.
So, what stages the competent parking of the parquet consists of?
The main thing is a strict sequence of actions. First, it is necessary to remove the old varnish, this is necessarily. Removing the varnish and adjusting the surface, putty is performed as a result of the moisture failures of the cracks. Sooner or later, the cracks at the joints of parquet tiles appear even on the highest quality parquet, this is not necessary to be afraid: the pulp and appropriate composition can cope with this problem.
Further – final, or “finish”, grinding. The prepared parquet is polished by a special machine, cleanly removed from wood dust, after which it is varnished.
Lacing with three or more parquet varnish layers is carried out immediately, since the polished naked wood left without a protective coating is very fast darkened and loses a presentable look. Applying varnish in an even layer, without influxes and other defects – this is a complex procedure that requires considerable experience and dexterity. It is extremely undesirable to do it yourself.
