Today very often they order an electrician on Elektrik.ZP. Because only he knows that the alternating current disconnector is used to turn off the alternating current in your house in case of fire, flood or other disaster. This switch is usually located outside the house or in the place to which you can quickly access when you need to turn off the power. The process of connecting the alternating current switch to your house requires some knowledge about the wiring.
Step 1 – Turn off the main food
Before you start the process of installing and connecting the alternating current disconnector, you need to disable the main power in your house. To do this, find the box of the main chain and transfer the main switch to the shutdown position. Wait for some time before you start working to connect alternating current to the house.
Step 2 – Install the disconnector
Find the wires that are supplied to the main power supply from the outside of your home. Finding wires, drill holes next to them to install a disconnector. You want to install the disconnector as close to the wiring as possible to connect the switch after its correct installation.
Step 3 – Determine the wires for the disconnector
The switch will have three or four wires depending on the voltage of the circuit to which you connect the alternating current disconnector. If the chain is a 110 volt circuit, use an alternating current disconnector with three wires. There will be a neutral white wire, green grounding wire (which can also be copper) and black (or red) wire. If the circuit is 220-volt, the disconnector that you will use will have four wires (additional hot or red wire).
Step 4 – attach the grounding wire
Connect the grounding wire (if it does not need to be cut) to the grounding wire in the circuit to which you connect the alternating current disconnector. The grounding wire will be a green or non -insulated copper -colored wire in an alternating current disconnector and must correspond to the color of the wire to which it is connected. Uses Elektrik wire plugs and an electrician tape to seal the connection.
Step 5 – Cut the hot wires
Connect the hot wires to their corresponding hot wires for the alternating current disconnector. Make sure you are using caps and an electrician tape to seal wires. As soon as the wires are connected and the switch is fixed on the wall, return the main power and check the switch to make sure that it works correctly.
