After the hives are taken out into the street, it is necessary to conduct their spring revision. This should be done in sunny weather, when the air temperature in the shade reaches 14-15 degrees above zero, and the bees will already fly in a bribe.
It is necessary in order to identify the state of bee -family after wintering, equip the nests, replenish the feed supply, identify the state of brood and all bees. Bees should be prepared for the beginning of the main honey collection.
Prior to the start of the audit, you need to prepare everything you need: the hives must be disinfected and clean, side and upper insulation should be dry, prepare diaphragms (these are insertion boards), prepare sugar syrup and more.
This will allow an audit of efficiently and quickly. For example, experienced beekeepers spend on checking one hive up to 15 minutes.
The hive in which the bees is located should be carefully set back, and put in this place and install a clean hive. After that, you need to deprive the nest with a smoke, very carefully and quietly rearrange the cotor cores with bees in a clean hive.
Each frame must be thoroughly cleaned and correctly installed in the hive. You should know and correctly form a nest. In the middle, it is necessary to install a brood (one or two honeycombs, the color of which should be light brown). They should have well formed cells so that the uterus can lay eggs there.
Perm -based hundreds are installed behind them and only then – honey fodder.
If the bee family is strong, then it is necessary to have from 10 to 12 kilograms of high -quality fodder honey in this hive and at least two hundredths with a perga.
In the middle bee family should be at least six kilograms of fodder honey.
Next. The nest of the diaphragm should be limited and well insulated with its side and upper pillows. Under the upper pillows you need to lay 4 layers of cellophane or newspapers. Floles must be reduced so that only 2 or 3 bees can pass.
Free from the bees of the cotor should be left in the old hive, the old hive must be closed with a lid.
After all the work is completed all unnecessary stories must be removed in a place that is not available for bees.
If the feed honey in the hive is not enough, then it should be replenished with honey left specifically for these purposes by spring. But before, filled with honeycombs, honey must be warmed up in the house for a day. That is, honey must be warmed. Only such honey should be given bees so that it does not cool the nest.
If there is no honey, then bees can be given sugar syrup (should be thick). Ratio: 1 part of water to two parts of granulated sugar. Give syrup to the upper feeders. Add two to three liters in two days. The supply of food should reach eight to ten kilograms.
All the hundredths in which there was a moldy peg, sour or sugared honey should be removed and replaced with new frames.
With prolonged cold and inconspicuous spring weather, it is necessary to make an incentive top dressing (imitation of the presence of a bribe). That is, to give bee searches from sugar in small portions (per family – from 100 to 150 grams). This will increase the development of bee family and will contribute to the fact that the bees will grow larger.
The hives that turned out to be free should be cleaned with a chisel, rinse with ash alkalis, and also treated with a soldering lamp.
It is recommended to enter all their results into a special journal and give an assessment of how each bee family produced.
The bee magazine helps beekeepers a lot. It helps to observe, conduct the necessary and timely work, take urgent measures to preserve and develop bee -family.
