Types of internal slopes for windows

More and more often you can see that there and here the windows are changing in the apartments. Old wooden windows that have served their age change to more modern, plastic. But after their installation, there is a need for the design of window openings (or, as they say now, slopes). They can be both external and internal.

It is especially important to put in order the slopes of the internal, t.To. They are an integral part of the interior of the apartment. That is, one of the functions of the slopes is decorative. The slopes seem to veil foam, which all the cracks were filled.

But this, nevertheless, is not the main goal of the design of the slopes. The main thing is to protect this foam from destruction under the influence of the external environment. And also – hide the mounting seams that carry elements, prevent fogging of glasses, ensure noise insulation and maintenance of heat.

So, as we see, the need for window openings is obvious. Therefore, another question arises: which material is better to use?

The most seemingly reliable way is the slopes of plastering. But they take a long period of time, t.To. One layer is not to do here. In this case, each layer needs to give time to stand. Then a primer and painting will follow, which will also take a certain period of time.

But the main disadvantages of such slopes include their fragility and unpresentability. Over time, the cracked and lost color plaster will have to be ground. And besides, plastering slopes will not provide sufficient heat insulation, as a result of which the windows will constantly sweat.

But drywall slopes have greater thermal insulation, especially if they are insulated with cotton wool. And they will last longer than plaster slopes. But the “enemy” of drywall material is moisture, so they can be used not in all rooms (and even more so not outside). In time, the installation and decoration of such slopes will take no less than when plastering.

Therefore, the most profitable option can be plastic slopes. Easily and quickly mounted, not exposed to the external environment and are well cleaned. Since the plastic itself is durable, such slopes will last a long time. Mineral wool is used as isolation. A large spectrum on sale, so you can easily select slopes for any interior.
