The ventilated facade is the design of external treatment, which significantly improves thermal insulation of the premises and increases their immunity to atmospheric precipitation.
Its basis is three layers: an aluminum carcass, an external facing screen (most often it is siding) and insulation.
The ventilated hinged facade does not need periodic restoration, and its service life is unlimited. Such thermal insulation can serve for more than 50 years, and they change it only because of the loss of external attractiveness.
There are several main stages of installation. It is necessary to prepare the building for insulation, develop a diagram of the supporting structure and mark the facade, fasten guides, brackets, windproof film and insulation, install facing material. Installation of the ventilated facade takes on average from ten days to a month.
The hinged facade is quite easily attached to the walls of any type. For installation, dowels and studs are used, which are equally easy to score both in a thin layer of plaster, and in wooden materials, and even in concrete.
The insulation most often serves mineral wrecking fiber (“basalt plate”). Thanks to its ability to pass moisture, mold or fungus will not form on the outer surface of the walls.
You should leave a small air gap between the ventilated facade and the wall on which it is mounted. This will not allow moisture in a layer of insulation and prevent freezing of the wall.
